VOX VET technology (Virtual Element Technology) delivers breathtaking authenticity. It replicates not only the overall sound of the original but also the individual circuit components, creating a powerful guitar tone in combination with the wooden cabinet and 12" speaker.

In addition to the "classic" AC30, this amp features sounds from world-famous tube amps, including modern high-gain and priceless boutique amplifiers. The LINE input even allows connecting acoustic guitars and keyboards, making the amp even more versatile.

8 Effect Types

All effects needed for a fat sound are already onboard. Modulation and delay/reverb are available simultaneously. For both effect blocks, you can choose from 4 effect types, so you always have the right sound at hand. A TAP button for quick delay time and other speed settings is also included.

Open-Back Cabinet with Celestion VX12 Speaker

The VOX Cambridge50 features a Celestion VX12 speaker that fully delivers the rich 50W power. The cabinet is open at the back to let the open and defined sound of the 12" speaker shine beautifully.

Equipped with Nutube

The VOX Cambridge50 also includes the modern tube called Nutube. Thanks to its electroluminescence technology with the same structure as a conventional tube, Nutube has already helped several VOX products break through.

The typical tube overdrive, compression, and response are well represented here. The drastic weight reduction is just one of Nutube’s advantages. Others include no maintenance required and highly energy-efficient operation.

Everything You Need

The VOX Cambridge50 includes many features that make a guitarist’s life easier. The tuner is a must, the AUX input allows connecting external signal sources, and the headphone/line out jack with cabinet simulation makes quiet practice at home easy.

In preset mode, you can instantly recall preprogrammed guitar sounds, while manual mode follows the WYSIWYG principle: the sound exactly matches the current knob settings.

The VOX Cambridge50 offers a USB audio interface for direct recording of Nutube sound to your computer. This makes it a top choice for guitar parts in many home studios.

"Tone Room" Editor/Archiving Software for Intuitive Sound Management

"Tone Room" software makes the VOX Cambridge50 even more practical. It gives you access to parameters that can’t be adjusted on the device itself. It’s also great for building a sound library. Besides Mac/Windows, the program supports iOS/Android — only a USB connection to the device is needed.

Optional Footswitch for More Flexibility

With an optional VFS5 footswitch, you can select sounds and toggle effects on/off. Using this unit increases user presets to 8. This is invaluable, especially for stage use.

"JamVOX III" Software Included

"JamVOX III" software is also part of the bundle and lets you use your computer for exciting applications: The GXT function isolates, highlights, or suppresses specific song parts.

The player function allows looping song sections you want to practice — tempo can be freely changed. ASIO drivers are supported, so you can use other software (DAWs, etc.) besides "JamVOX III" for recording and playback.
