Versatile British Tube Amplifier for Stage and Studio!
Hiwatt stands for professional British tube tones that accompany musicians from the studio to the biggest stages. The Tube series — conceived as a tribute to the North American market — offers two-channel amplifiers that deliver both Hiwatt's classic clean sound and a versatile overdrive channel. At the heart of this series is the T40/20, a two-channel amplifier that puts out 40 watts via EL84 tubes.
The T40 starts with a distinctive Hiwatt preamp, paired with a reactive, dynamic overdrive channel driven by four EL84 power tubes. With the power-reduction switch you can use the full 40 watts for maximum clarity or step down to 20 watts to get more crunch and natural compression. Fitted with a real spring reverb, the T40 is an ideal platform for pedals and offers a dedicated effects loop.
Available in 1x12 and 2x12 configurations with specially developed Octapulse speakers, the 1x12 format delivers more bite in a compact package, while the 2x12 version provides greater projection and spread, along with the fullness and detail in your tone that only multiple speakers can deliver!
