Versatile British Tube Amp for Stage and Studio!
Hiwatt stands for professional British tube tones that support musicians from the studio to the biggest stages. The Tube series—designed as an homage to the North American market—offers two-channel amps that deliver both Hiwatt's classic clean sound and a versatile overdrive channel. At the heart of this series is the T40/20, a two-channel amp delivering 40 watts of power through EL84 tubes.
The T40 starts with a distinctive Hiwatt preamp, paired with a reactive, dynamic overdrive channel driven by a four-EL84 power section. With the power reduction you can use the full 40 watts for maximum clarity or switch to 20 watts to achieve more crunch and compression. Fitted with authentic spring reverb, the T40 is an ideal platform for pedals and includes a dedicated effects loop.
Available in 1x12 and 2x12 formats with specially developed Octapulse speakers, the 1x12 format delivers more crunch in a compact size, while the 2x12 format provides greater projection and spread, plus the fullness and detail in your sound that only multiple speakers can offer!
