This is the thing!

I love this! I've sold all other headphone amps after I got NUX. It works well, the BT app has all the settings and presets ready (but it can work w/o app with saved presets), it now has separate volume buttons on the side (there was criticism about it, in comparison with Fender's Micro). There are some back tracks, drum-machine inside, you can channel BT audio from any other metronome or youtube. The sound quality is good, the form-factor is very handy and fits my strat very well.

There's simply nothing to complain about, this is an ultimate headphone/practice amp. I have Yamaha THR10II, but I use this more and more.

I would love them to add Trio+ features to it or some internal jamming tools, which would make it even better.
Mega Ding

This thing is mega when you're practicing on the go and need the effects.
It can do much more than I've tried so far.
I mainly use it with bass, but I'm sure it was intended for electric guitar.
Mega part.
Anyone who wants to practice without an amp is well advised to use it.
Would be nice if we could get a detailed German instruction manual.
Very practical

The little thing is really very handy when you just want to play. Without having to lug equipment, without disturbing any neighbors and so on.
At first, I was looking for a function to tune the guitar and did not find it. But it is there and under "Settings" (for whatever reason).

This brings me to a small point of criticism: the description in the manual is (to put it mildly) very sparse.

The ability to play in a drum kit or mp3 background songs is a great addition. And all on this really tiny little device.

There really is a wide variety of sounds available as well. On my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, which I tethered via cable, most of them sound okay, but not overwhelmingly good. On the other hand, what can you say? The big amp emulators will have some right to exist.

Four stars, because there is still room for improvement (and I hope there will be with newer firmware versions). A more detailed user manual would also be a great help.

Question by Richter on 08.02.2026

Can the NUX Mighty Plug Pro Remote Modeling Amplug also be used as a replacement for the Mighty Air wireless transmitter?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

No, this is purely a headphone amplifier, not a wireless transmitter. The wireless connectivity only refers to the amp control via Bluetooth.

Question by Maurizio Rossi on 08.01.2026

I'm having trouble finding headphones that sound good, whether in-ear or over-ear. What is the most suitable impedance? Do you have any recommendations?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

The impedance you choose for your headphones depends on the application. If you use the headphones for "normal" applications, such as for an amp plug or on your cell phone to listen to music, headphones with low ohms (<60 ohms) are better. For professional studio applications with devices that offer appropriate headphone amplification, headphones with higher ohms (>60 ohms) are also suitable.

Question by scheer erwin on 03.08.2025

how to connect to the pc or how to access the app?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

You cannot connect this device to your computer. You can download the app from the app store of your choice and then control the device via Bluetooth.
