The heart of the StompMan is Hughes & Kettner's award-winning 'Spirit Tone Generator' technology, a fully analog circuit capturing the tone and feel of traditional tube amps. The StompMan offers a wide range of coveted clean and overdrive sounds and, combined with external effects, forms a solid foundation for modern power tones.
A key feature is Hughes & Kettner's exclusive Sagging control, allowing seamless adjustment of compression and harmonic character from classic to modern.
An exceptional feature of the StompMan is its built-in power amp, delivering up to 50 watts depending on the speaker impedance. Even 12.5 watts at 16 ohms provide a surprisingly powerful presence, sufficient for most rehearsal and stage situations. The adjustable solo function boosts output by up to 6 dB at the push of a button—perfect for solos or special accents in your arrangement.
The StompMan was crafted to bring out the best sound qualities of connected floor effects. Additionally, it features an adjustable effects loop for integrating reverb or delay effects. The built-in preamp can be bypassed for connecting external preamps, with a trim pot for optimal matching. Digital modelers especially benefit from the organic sound of the StompMan power amp. It offers a wealth of applications: as the powerful heart of premium pedalboards, as a tone-rich power amp with analog or digital preamps, in recording and reamping, or simply as a brilliant always-ready amp.
