Question by Holger vom Ast on 01.10.2019
Good morning!
I still have an old acoustic combo Marshall AS 50 R, but it is perfectly suitable for my needs. The also has a connection for a foot switch, which is unfortunately not quite clear to me what the on and off should and can switch.
I would need only for for announcements in between silent effects, especially the reverb. If this footswitch delivers that, it's as good as bought.
Have a nice day!
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The footswitch normally controls the channels on the amplifiers. If the reverb on your amp can't be turned on and off by a button, the footswitch won't be able to control anything here. If you run the effects through the FX loop, however, you can attach a sustain pedal to the end of the effects loop and thus control the volume of the effects separately.
