The solid mahogany neck with an Authentic 1961 Skinny C profile targets players who prefer a comfortable, fast yet substantial neck feel. The 24.75" scale supports a smooth string response while the nut width of 42.85 mm provides a familiar foundation for precise chords, controlled bends and expressive vibrato. The rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots complements the guitar’s classic character and offers a pleasant tactile feel under the fingers.

Custombucker Alnico III Humbuckers For Open Vintage Tones

Two unpotted Gibson Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers form the tonal heart of this reissue. They deliver an open, detailed response with lively overtones, clear string separation and the dynamic reaction many players prize in classic ES models. The neck pickup suits warm jazz voicings, singing blues lines and soft clean tones, while the bridge pickup brings more bite, definition and presence for rock, soul, indie and classic lead sounds. Two volume and two tone controls let you finely shape the tone so you can move flexibly between transparent cleans, creamy crunch and expressive solo voices.

Period-Correct Hardware and VOS Character

The ABR-1 bridge combined with the lightweight aluminum stop-bar tailpiece supports direct vibration transfer, reliable intonation and a resonant playing feel. Kluson Single Line Double Ring tuners capture the historic aesthetic and provide matching classic functionality. Nickel hardware and gold or black top hat control knobs with silver inserts complete the coherent package.
