What's So Bad About Neon Tubes?
Fluorescent tubes, commonly known as neon tubes, are found almost everywhere in our daily environment today—offices, warehouses, workshops, etc. Of course they offer advantages over traditional incandescent lamps. Unfortunately, there are downsides too, such as high electricity costs and long warm-up times before they reach their full light output.
On top of that comes the filling with environmentally harmful gases and mercury, which makes disposal awkward. Regular replacement intervals also add further maintenance costs.
That’s Why Showlite LED Fluorescent Tubes Are the Better Choice!
The Showlite LEDs light instantly with no switch-on delay. They tolerate frequent switching on and off. Flicker and the slow ramp-up you get with conventional neon tubes disappear with the Showlite LED tubes.
With the extremely long service life of more than 50,000 hours, replacement intervals and thus maintenance costs are reduced significantly. That also benefits the environment, since the lifespan far exceeds that of conventional neon tubes. The evenly bright, flicker- and glare-free light also prevents fatigue even after prolonged use.
New Energy Label 2021
Since September 2021 the new energy label also applies to lamps. It no longer uses classes like "A+++" but ranges from "A" to "G". Note that no current device reaches class "A" or "B". These new classifications were deliberately introduced with a view to the future so they remain practical even in 10 years' time.
This means devices with an energy efficiency class of "F" are comparable to the old "A+" class. Of course this does not mean the devices actually consume more electricity.
Simply Replace Your Existing Neon Tubes!
Each tube is delivered with an LED starter, so installation into standard sockets is straightforward. During installation you only need to replace the existing starter with the supplied starter. An installation guide is included.
