The Squier Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII combines the direct character of a Telecaster with the harmonic depth of a twelve-string electric guitar. Developed in collaboration with versatile guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen, this Artist model expands the familiar concept with shimmering double choruses, a dedicated XII headstock and a bridge specifically designed for twelve strings.

Twelve Strings for Greater Harmonic Depth

With its 12-string construction, the Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII lays additional overtones and complex beating over the Telecaster's characteristic core tone. Chords gain more width and texture, while single lines develop a distinctly different presence than on a conventional six-string electric. The Telecaster 12-String Top-Load/String-Through bridge is specially tuned to this concept and enables the twelve-string setup intended for this model.

The maple neck features a C profile and the Telecaster-typical 25.5" scale length. The Indian Laurel fretboard is fitted with 21 narrow-tall frets and a 9.5" radius. Especially on a 12-string electric, sufficient space for the additional strings is crucial: the 42.86 mm nut width supports a clear string layout without fundamentally altering the familiar playing feel of an electric solidbody instrument. The neck is classically attached to the Nyatoh body with four bolts.
