Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Thinline 3-Color Sunburst

5 stars, here you have to clearly see the price-performance ratio. The guitar arrived neatly packaged and also looks great. This model had the following small flaws, but for me these are no reason for a lower rating:

1. buzzing in the body, there was still half a sheet of sandpaper inside. Pulled out of the F-hole with tweezers. The factory inspection must have been asleep...
The 2nd D-string sounded unclean and jangly from the 9th fret onwards. In my case, the bridge rider for this string looked slightly tilted. The height of each string rider on this model can be adjusted using two grub screws. An Allen key for adjustment was included. After a minute, this problem was also fixed.
3. the G-string already had a clear kink below the last fret - a new set of strings was already ready. The strings used in production are often simply put on quickly and are not of such good quality. I had expected that.
4. some frets are sometimes a little rough, so it helps to polish them slightly before putting on new strings (if you have no experience with this: watch a tutorial on the Internet beforehand or go to a dealer) or simply play them intensively...

And that's about it. As expected, the sound is direct, clear and rich in overtones (twang). There was nothing to complain about in terms of octave purity. The neck sits cleanly; the feel is pleasant, no protruding fret ends. If you like, you can tune this guitar a lot. But I prefer playing to tinkering... I also quickly optimized the string action for myself. All the necessary adjustment keys are included.

However, Fender does not include a manual for the correct adjustment of the guitar with its Squier products. Only a warranty declaration in several languages (unfortunately no German) with two sketches and a few basic tips is included. However, there are good tutorials on the Internet or you can go to your trusted guitar dealer.
