Fender American Professional Telecaster Dark Night

Fender American Professional Telecaster - Legendary Twang With Modern Possibilities!

The Fender American Professional Telecaster continues the more than 70-year history of one of the most influential electric guitar models. The characteristic Telecaster sound—with its direct response, punchy dynamics and unmistakable presence—forms the foundation. At the same time, Fender expands the classic concept with modern features that meet the demands of discerning guitarists on stage and in the studio. With its revised V-Mod III single-coil pickups, comfortable Deep-C neck profile and versatile bridge construction, this American Professional blends traditional Fender traits with contemporary functionality. Especially the additional series wiring of the pickups opens up new possibilities without giving up the familiar Telecaster character.

V-Mod III Single Coils - Classic Telecaster Tone With Extra Power

Two Fender V-Mod III single-coil Telecaster pickups deliver the typical Telecaster voice with brilliant highs, defined mids and lively attack. The bridge pickup provides the characteristic twang and a direct, biting tone, while the neck pickup convinces with softer, rounder timbres. Both pickups can be selected individually or together via the classic 3-way switch. A special feature of this American Professional Telecaster is the push/push tone pot that lets you switch the two pickups into series. Unlike conventional parallel wiring, this produces a fuller, thicker sound with increased output. So besides the classic Tele tones you gain an additional voice for punchy rhythm parts and expressive leads. The ClassicGear Precision potentiometers provide smooth, finely tuned control of volume and tone.

Deep-C Neck Profile and Optimized Ergonomics

The bolt-on maple neck features Fender's popular Deep-C profile, combining a substantial neck feel with comfortable playability. The gently rounded fretboard edges create a natural playing sensation, while the Super-Natural satin finish on the back of the neck supports smooth hand movement. The rosewood fretboard with its 9.5" radius, together with the narrow-tall frets, offers a balanced foundation for precise chord work and controlled bends. The newly contoured neck heel improves access to the high frets. An asymmetrical four-bolt neck plate with micro-tilt adjustment complements the modern neck construction. In combination with the classic alder body, this Telecaster feels familiar while offering numerous ergonomic improvements.

Flexible Telecaster Bridge With Compensated Brass Saddles

The Fender American Professional Telecaster's hardware also strikes a successful balance between tradition and evolution. The revised 3-saddle Telecaster bridge features three compensated ClassicGear brass bullet saddles that provide more accurate intonation than conventional, non-compensated three-saddle designs. Particularly interesting is the selectable string routing: you can string through the body in the classic way or route the strings directly through the bridge. This top-load/string-through construction gives you additional options to fine-tune feel and string tension. Sealed Fender Standard staggered tuning machines round out the reliable hardware and support stable tuning.

American Professional - A Telecaster for Demanding Players

With the American Professional Telecaster, Fender takes the key traits of the legendary original and develops them further. The combination of classic alder-maple construction, characterful V-Mod III pickups and modern electronics makes this electric guitar a versatile instrument for a wide range of musical applications. From transparent cleans to snappy country licks and dynamic blues passages to powerful rock riffs, the Telecaster offers a broad sonic palette. The added series wiring, the flexible bridge and the comfortable neck profile expand its capabilities without changing its musical identity. Made in the USA and including a Fender Deluxe Molded hardshell case, this American Professional Telecaster is a thoughtful evolution of the classic Telecaster concept.
