Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 24 HH HT CM Satin Black

Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 24 HH HT CM - Modern Performance with Distinct Character!

With the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 24 HH HT CM, Charvel channels its performance-focused DNA into a striking double-cut interpretation with an ergonomically sculpted alder body. The pronounced contour on the back of the body and the sculpted Shredder's Cut Heel are more than visual details: they free up extra space for high-register playing and emphasize the instrument's uncompromisingly modern approach. The concept is completed by a solid string-through-body construction, a fast neck, and an unusually versatile Fishman Fluence electronics package.

Caramelized Maple and Charvel Speed Neck

The bolt-on caramelized maple neck features graphite reinforcement and the signature Charvel Speed Neck profile with rolled fretboard edges. Its back receives a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish. The fretboard is also caramelized maple and combines a 12"-16" compound radius with 24 jumbo frets. That changing radius along the neck supports both comfortable chord work and wide-range playing in the upper registers. Pearloid dots provide the classic position markers, while Luminlay side dots keep you oriented even under low stage lighting. The dual-action truss rod is directly accessible via the adjustment wheel at the heel.

Three Tones from Two Fishman Fluence Humbuckers

The two Fishman Fluence Open Core PRF-COC humbuckers form the sonic core of the So-Cal Style 2, and the wiring goes well beyond a classic HH layout. A 2-way mini-toggle selects between Voice 1 and Voice 2. At the bridge pickup this provides a modern, powerful humbucker voice and an alternative tuned toward vintage PAF sounds. The neck pickup likewise offers two differently voiced humbucker settings. The tone control's push/pull function additionally activates Voice 3, which yields single-coil tones in both positions. In combination with the 3-way blade switch and separate volume and tone controls, this creates unusually flexible electronics without making the control concept needlessly complicated.

Hardtail Construction for a Direct Foundation

The Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge is fitted with brass saddles and provides the guitar's solid mechanical foundation. The strings feed through the body and run over a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut to the Charvel locking tuners. The 25.5" scale matches the familiar long-scale layout of modern Charvel electric guitars. Together with the ergonomically contoured body, the Speed Neck, and the extensive Fluence circuitry, the instrument is clearly aimed at fast playing techniques, flexible tones, and direct handling. The reverse licensed Fender Telecaster headstock finally delivers a distinctive visual accent within the Pro-Mod series.
