The Hagstrom line follows the brand’s tradition and is inspired by the classic Swedish Hagstrom values like innovation and independent design. Selected materials are produced under strict supervision by Hagstrom’s own guitar-building experts and on-site quality assurance staff in dedicated factories in the Far East and, for the Northern series, in one of Europe’s most renowned guitar workshops.

Since the launch of the highly successful Hagstrom Ultra Swede in 2007, guitarists worldwide have been amazed by the instrument’s willingness to offer players a top-notch sounding and playable instrument at a very modest price. Over the years, our designers have explored the details of the Ultra Swede and eventually created a bigger sibling model of the Ultra Swede, which we are now proud to present as the "Ultra Max."

A "longscale" dream in flame maple. The selected tops of this Ultra Max Special edition in three stunning finishes are perfectly complemented by the dynamic sound of the Lundgren Design humbucker duo, known and loved from the Fantomen, with No.#02 at the neck and No.#05 at the bridge.

Besides powerful and dynamic humbucker sounds, convincing single-coil tones are also available via push/pull (tone pot), a popular Ultra Max standard feature.
