The Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar recreates the extremely unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain played in the riotous early '90s after buying it in a second-hand shop.

Back then Nirvana were the new star on the rock horizon and spearheaded a culturally revolutionary, musically impressive movement. Now the instrument returns in a new guise. Features include an alder body, the bound fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, a Strat-style headstock with the 'spaghetti' logo in the '50s style, a DiMarzio DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary humbucker at the neck and a DP100 Super Distortion bridge humbucker, the triple-ridged "Chrome-Dome" potentiometer configuration (Volume/Volume/Tone), a 3-way toggle switch for the pickups, plus the black Adjusto-Matic chrome bridge and sealed Gotoh tuners.

It also comes with a black vinyl hard shell case and the exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book with photos and commentary by Charles Peterson and a detailed interview with Nirvana guitar tech Earnie Bailey.

DiMarzio Humbucking Pickups

For our Kurt Cobain Jaguar we chose a high-output pickup combination to make it sound as loud and "hot" as possible: a DiMarzio DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary at the neck and a DP100 Super Distortion at the bridge.

Limited Edition Book

A true collector's item: this guitar comes with the exclusive Kurt Cobain book available only from Fender. It contains rare photos with commentary from photographer Charles Peterson and a detailed interview with Nirvana guitar tech Earnie Bailey.

Bound Rosewood Fingerboard

The dark rosewood fingerboard of the Kurt Cobain Signature Jaguar is finished with an elegant white binding — a typical '60s detail.

Volume/Volume/Tone Configuration

Unlike the traditional Jaguar, the Kurt Cobain Jaguar doesn't just have two controls (master volume, master tone) but three: a master tone plus a separate volume control for each humbucker.

Engraved Neck Plate

Kurt Cobain noted many ideas in his notebook — not just lyrics. A playful sketch of the Fender "F" was among them. We immortalized that note as an engraving on the neck plate of his signature Jaguar.

Tested Quality

To ensure long-lasting enjoyment of this instrument, it has been inspected and pre-setup by Kirstein quality control. This is done in our guitar workshop by our guitar technicians. We guarantee the instrument's perfect condition on a certificate included with the instrument.
