Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special Antique Natural

Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special - Focused on Pure Rock!

The Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special follows an idea as simple as it is consistent: one pickup, one volume knob and a direct connection between player, guitar and amp. Inspired by Joan Jett's own Epiphone Olympic Special, this signature model combines the characteristic asymmetrical double-cutaway shape with intentionally pared-down appointments and a powerful humbucker concept.

Joan Jett's Straightforward Concept

Joan Jett has stood for an independent approach to rock 'n' roll for decades, and that same character shapes her Olympic Special. Instead of multiple switching options, Epiphone fits a single PowerHammer Pro humbucker in the bridge position. A volume knob handles the level control, while the separate on/off switch mutes the pickup instantly and even enables quick kill-switch effects. The black speed knob features a grippy surface to support confident adjustments while playing.

Mahogany Construction with Set Neck

The lightweight solidbody is made of mahogany and wears the distinctive asymmetrical Olympic silhouette with two cutaways. It also features a set neck crafted from mahogany with the model-specific Olympic Special profile. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius and is fitted with 22 medium-jumbo frets and classic dot inlays. The 24.75" scale follows a compact, traditional layout and enhances the direct playing feel of this model.

Simple Hardware with Functional Focus

The Olympic Special comes equipped with an MTB605 bridge and nickel-plated hardware. Die-cast tuners and a Graph Tech nut provide a functional basis for reliable tuning. Visually the guitar remains deliberately reduced: black plastic parts and knobs contrast with the light cover of the single humbucker. On the back of the headstock you'll find a gold-colored reproduction of Joan Jett's signature, underlining the personal link to this signature model.

For Fans of Immediate Response and Stripped-Down Instruments

The Joan Jett Olympic Special targets guitarists who don't need elaborate electronics but want a focused instrument with a distinctive shape and clear controls. At the same time it picks up key elements of Joan Jett's original Olympic Special and combines them with a modern Epiphone execution. Included in the delivery are a specially made premium gigbag and an artist pick set, so the signature concept is consistently implemented beyond the instrument itself.
