As a close relative of the Epiphone Casino, the ES-330 features a similar fully hollow thinline body made of three-ply maple/poplar/maple and is extremely resonant and warm in tone thanks to its hollow body, trapeze tailpiece, and deeply set neck that creates an optimized bridge position. The mahogany neck has a comfortable rounded "C" profile and a rosewood fretboard with small acrylic block inlays and medium-jumbo frets. The ES-330 is powered by a pair of Dogear P-90 pickups, hand-wired with 500k potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, delivering bright and clear clean sounds and wonderfully gritty, growling tones when overdriven.
The ES-330 is not only a great-sounding electric guitar for stage and studio but also excels as a songwriting instrument and is regarded by many as the ideal "couch guitar," as it sounds just as good unplugged and played acoustically.
