EVH SA-126 - Semi-Hollow Meets High Performance!

In 2025, with the launch of the SA-126, we’re once again challenging the "standard." The SA-126 is pure innovation defined. It’s a blend of semi-hollow and solid-body guitar: a solid body with chambers and a center block, combined with a bolt-on neck and features usually found only on high-performance guitars, like a slim neck, jumbo frets, and higher-output pickups. Conceived by Wolfgang Van Halen, this instrument was designed for versatility, offering the perfect balance between punchy rhythm tones and lightning-fast lead runs.

Here’s a quick look at the features. The brand-new SA-126 Standard has a chambered Nyatoh body with a Nyatoh center block for stability and tone. The maple top and masked natural body binding give it a classic, clean look. The neck is a 22-fret 12"-16" rosewood fretboard with jumbo frets and redesigned block inlays on a graphite-reinforced baked maple neck. With a scale length of 24 and three quarters inches... this guitar feels like a modern classic that’s familiar and comfortable. A spoke wheel at the neck heel allows easy truss rod adjustment while playing. The EVH SA-126 bridge and neck pickups were developed by Fender’s in-house pickup designer Tim Shaw and the EVH team and can handle just about anything you throw at them. From elegant cascading cleans to a heavy bath of overdrive and "burn" that satisfies even the most demanding gainiac. The three-way toggle switch on the upper horn switches between bridge, bridge and neck, and neck pickups, offering two volume controls and two tone controls for each pickup. Other features include an EVH T.O.M bridge and stop-bar tailpiece, oversized strap buttons, and Keystone tuners. The SA-126 Standard is available in 4 finishes: Piano Black and Satin White with black hardware, Pelham Green with chrome hardware, and Transparent Wine Red with gold hardware.
