Classic Electric Guitar Without the Fuss!
The MSC10 Pro was designed for guitarists seeking a more traditional guitar experience rather than a high-tech one. It’s styled in the classic Strat shape, and while more colors will be available soon, the guitar is currently offered in six glossy finishes: Black, Vintage White, Daphne Blue, Sunburst, Surf Green, and Dark Silver.
The guitar’s body is made of poplar wood, while the bolt-on neck is crafted from roasted maple with a satin finish. Considering the low price, roasted maple is an impressive feature of this guitar, as it maximizes the instrument’s stability and prevents the neck from warping or getting damaged during play.
Both woods contribute to the MSC10 Pro’s resonant tone, which can be tailored to different music styles via the five-way pickup selector. This switch chooses between five pickup combinations, with the neck pickup being a single-coil MSC-1N, the middle pickup a single-coil MSC-1M, and the bridge pickup a classic MHB-1B dual-coil humbucker. Further tone shaping is possible with the two tone controls and the volume knob.
The neck features a standard C-shape and is equipped with a bone nut and six chrome MTN-1 tuning machines. It also sports a tech ebony fretboard, 22 nickel-silver frets, and a double-action steel truss rod. Altogether, this provides everything the MSC10 needs for smooth yet stylish playability.
The MSC10 Pro’s headstock proudly displays MOOER’s GGW logo, standing for GTRS Guitar Works, MOOER’s innovative guitar factory. Opened in 2019, this facility is run by a team of guitar-building and technology experts who ensure top-notch quality standards and a premium guitar selection.
Finally, MOOER hasn’t shied away from including all the small but essential Strat details: the MSC10 Pro comes with a sturdy chrome strap button, making it perfect for gigs, and a vintage MVT-1 6-screw bridge suitable for tremolo effects. The frets almost perfect. A little rough here and there but no risk of injury.
The different settings do a good job. Very different sounds selectable.
But the general sound could be better. But top for the money. Still slightly disappointed.
But my modeling amplifier produces a great sound. That's why I'm keeping it.
