Nita Strauss grew up in Los Angeles in a musical family and forged an early bond with the guitar. After years on international stages and in the LA rock scene, she joined Alice Cooper's band in 2014. Her virtuosic playing and high-energy stage presence shape her style just as much as her close relationship with Ibanez. The JIVA10R embodies this approach with specs that support fast runs, expressive solos, and powerful rhythm work alike.

Quilted Maple Top and Mahogany Body

The quilted maple top provides a striking visual accent on a body of African mahogany and pairs with a proven wood combination for modern electric guitars. The bolt-on, three-piece neck is made of maple and Purpleheart and features the special JIVA profile. With 19 mm thickness at the 1st fret and 21 mm at the 12th, the construction favors a direct, controlled playing feel. The satin polyurethane neck finish complements this with a pleasantly smooth surface.

Ebony Fretboard for Modern Playing Techniques

The ebony fretboard has a flat 400 mm radius and is fitted with 24 jumbo frets. That gives the JIVA10R ample room for bends, fast legato runs, and wide-reaching solos. DiMarzio HSH Pickup Configuration with Pandemonium and True Velvet

For electric pickup conversion Ibanez relies on a passive HSH setup from DiMarzio. Pandemonium humbuckers power the neck and bridge positions, complemented by a True Velvet single-coil in the middle. A 5-way switch enables various pickup combinations, while one volume and one tone control provide direct, intuitive control. The wiring covers a broad palette of tones without overcomplicating the layout.

Edge-Zero II Tremolo for Expressive Playing

The Edge-Zero II tremolo is a standout feature of this signature guitar. Together with the locking nut, the system is built to handle intensive tremolo techniques.
