Ibanez AZ2402 - Black Flat, Satin Polyester - Includes Ibanez Hardshell Case
With the AZ series, Japanese manufacturer Ibanez returns to traditional guitar designs with top-tier features. Unlike other Ibanez series, the neck profile is beefier – but the roasted maple necks offer a comfortable playing feel and fit perfectly in the hand. The hardware and electronics are impressive too: Gotoh tremolo and locking tuners, plus new pickups developed in collaboration with pickup guru Seymour Duncan.
The Ibanez AZ series guitars are a contemporary take on classic ST-style guitars, essentially a high-tech version for the 21st century. Ibanez has equipped the AZ2402-BKF with a range of current detail improvements: the Ibanez T1802 Tremolo by Gotoh is a refined version of the classic vintage ST tremolo – steel saddles and a wobble-free tremolo arm, low-friction 2-bolt mounting. The neck is made of roasted maple, a thermally treated wood with the stability and tone of years-old seasoned tonewood, alder body, deeply cut cutaways allow easy access to the upper frets. The Gotoh locking tuners are height adjustable on the shaft and can be staggered without any hassle. Regarding pickups, Ibanez teamed up with Seymour Duncan – the result is the new Hyperion pickups, which combined with the dyna-Mix 9 circuit enable numerous wiring and sound options.
A contemporary interpretation of classic ST-style guitars – Ibanez high-tech variant made in Japan!

Variant Ibanez AZ2402-TFF Prestige Tri Fade Burst
This rating has been translated automatically. Original language
The real "Sun" color is quite pale and dark. The sound of the Seymour Duncan Hyperion is not too bright, but rather emphasized in the middle. The amplitude of the signal and noise floor is very good (without DI box I get -76dB). Fortunately, the tremolo system was already very well adjusted at the factory. When you press the lever, the strings return to their original position.
The case is also very good, but in general I would really like to see perfectly adjusted electric guitars in the €2000 price range delivered to the customer. After 4 hours of tinkering, I managed to get this electric guitar perfect.
Finally, if I deduct the minus points, I don't want to say anything wrong about this electric guitar. It's a piece of jewelry! And the Hyperion pickups are perfectly tuned with each other, the sound is very musical and it's not like with different switch settings, some positions come across too extremely loud or bass heavy sound. Everything is balanced. I would change the .009 strings to .010 strings later. Would I recommend this electric guitar or buy it a second time? I think so, because even better quality usually costs twice as much!
