New for 2024, the Fender Custom Shop introduces the 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic - an undeniable icon among electric guitars. Over the years, the '57 Strat gained fame for its distinctive features, and this model is packed with the elements that truly evoke the spirit of its celebrated predecessor.
The two-piece alder body, the one-piece, rift-sawn maple neck with a 1957-style "Soft V" profile, and the single-ply parchment pickguard combine to create the perfect blend of late '50s Stratocaster specs. Equipped with three hand-wound Tomatillo Stratocaster pickups from the Custom Shop (RWRP middle pickup) and Vintage Modified #2 wiring plus a Greasebucket tone circuit, this guitar delivers all the bite and quack a player expects from a Strat, but with a touch of especially warm, full-bodied tone.
The 1957 Stratocaster features a Heavy Relic finish that recalls decades of intense playing and touring - this guitar is a battle-tested workhorse.
Additional premium features include a 9.5" fretboard radius, 21 narrow tall frets, a 5-way switch, a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuners, a bone nut, a vintage-style string tree, a deluxe hard case, a strap, and a certificate of authenticity.
