The classic alder body meets a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, forming one of the most time-honored wood combinations in Fender's lineup. At the same time, the American Professional series focuses on modern details that consistently advance feel, control, and versatility without losing the Stratocaster's unmistakable character.

V-Mod III Single Coils With Independent Voicing

Three V-Mod III single-coil Stratocaster pickups form the sonic center of this electric guitar. Each pickup is specifically voiced for its position, combining the Strat's typical openness and sparkle with warmth and a clear attack. The classic 5-way switch provides the familiar single and in-between positions. Additionally, a push-push function on the second tone control expands the wiring and activates the neck pickup in switch positions one and two. That creates two extra pickup combinations not available on a conventionally wired Strat and usefully complements the classic SSS layout.

Deep-C Neck With Rounded Fingerboard Edges

The Deep C neck profile starts relatively slim at the nut and gains substance toward the neck-body joint. Together with the rounded fingerboard edges, it delivers a familiar yet modern playing feel. The neck back features Fender's Super-Natural Satin Urethane finish, while the face of the headstock is gloss. The redesigned rounded neck heel and the asymmetrical neck plate improve access to the upper frets and support ergonomic playing across the entire fingerboard.

Refined Two-Point Tremolo

Another focus of the American Professional Stratocaster is the modernized tremolo unit. The 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo uses ClassicGear Radial Bent-Steel Saddles and a cold-rolled steel block. This construction is designed for precise adjustability, direct response, and reliable tremolo performance. The recessed screws on the saddles create a smooth resting surface for the picking hand. The pop-in tremolo arm installs easily and underscores the professional orientation of the hardware.

ClassicGear Precision potentiometers provide even taper and a musical control character. Staggered Fender Standard Cast/Sealed tuners, the bone nut, and the narrow-tall frets round out a concept built for reliable performance.
