Fender American Professional Jaguar Dark Night

Fender American Professional Jaguar - Legendary Offset Character With Modern Versatility!

The Fender American Professional Jaguar blends the unmistakable character of the classic Jaguar with modern features for discerning players. Since its debut in the 1960s the Jaguar has stood for distinctive tones, a striking offset body shape and unusual sonic possibilities. This US-made electric guitar preserves those traits and expands them with innovative electronics, a comfortable neck design and a highly versatile vibrato system. Whether you’re after signature clean tones, punchy rock riffs or expressive effects, this Jaguar gives you an instrument that pairs Fender tradition with contemporary functionality.

Alder Body and Comfortable Short-Scale Neck

The solid alder body provides the foundation for the balanced, projecting tonal character of the American Professional Jaguar. The maple neck in a Deep C profile sits comfortably in the hand and features a Super-Natural satin urethane finish on the back of the neck. Together with carefully rounded fretboard edges this creates a smooth playing feel. The rosewood fretboard with a 9.5" radius and 22 Narrow-Tall frets supports precise bends and comfortable playability. Particularly distinctive is the short 24" (610 mm) scale length, which reduces string tension and makes expressive bending easier. The redesigned neck heel also improves access to the upper frets, while the asymmetric four-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt offers extra adjustment options.

V-Mod III Single Coils With Expanded Tonal Options

Two V-Mod III Jaguar single-coil pickups deliver the characteristic, bright Jaguar sound with pronounced articulation and clear string separation. The electronics offer far more options than a conventional two-pickup layout. The three-way pickup switch selects bridge pickup, both pickups or neck pickup. A push/push function in the tone control activates an alternate tap on the bridge pickup with reduced output for a more vintage-leaning tone. Additionally, the Jaguar features a dedicated rhythm circuit: when engaged both pickups are wired in series for a beefier sound with increased output. Separate volume and tone knobs let you fine-tune that voice. Fender ClassicGear precision potentiometers round out the flexible tone control package.

Panorama Tremolo for Expressive Vibrato Effects

A standout feature is the Panorama Jaguar tremolo system with pop-in vibrato arm. It enables everything from subtle pitch modulation to more pronounced vibrato effects, expanding the instrument's expressive range. The ClassicGear J-Bridge supports stable string guidance and precise intonation. Staggered Fender Standard die-cast tuning machines, a bone nut and premium nickel-chrome hardware complete the functional appointments. The guitar ships with Fender USA 250R nickel-plated steel strings in the gauge .010-.046.

Professional Appointments Including Hardshell Case

The Fender American Professional Jaguar combines the hallmark traits of a classic short-scale offset guitar with an enhanced pickup switching scheme and modern playability features. Its wide tonal palette and expressive Panorama tremolo make it an attractive choice for players who value the Jaguar’s distinct voice and also demand flexibility. The delivery includes a Fender Deluxe Molded hardshell case to protect the instrument during transport and storage.
