The design had it to me somehow and when it arrived quite quickly here completely undamaged, my aesthetic sense was fired even further.
The guitar has a high touch factor and gives a person who has been grabbing guitars for about 45 years and elicits tones from the most diverse models immediately an all-round coherent / quality feeling.
In the 80s-90s you would never have gotten such truly excellent quality for the few flakes.
I have enough picks here, but I am quite sure that I will not regret this "only-so-purchase".
Pickups are no output monsters, but the sound is fully ok. H - S - (S+S) - S - H. In the middle position both as singlecoils parallel, clearly louder, than in the 2nd or 4th switch position as single.
I bent the plus contact of the jack socket a little bit more, so that it bites better into the plug.
That the body is made of mahogany I doubt, however -, seems too light to me. on Amazon also set by Kirstein Okohume is specified.
The neck is at the 12 fret about 24mm, that of my RG450S (Japan) 21,5mmm, but because of that you still get fast enough.
A simple, well-tried concept without trem, visually very appealing without any flaws, at a very fair price, - I am more than satisfied
and I already know that this part will always sit with me on the sofa...

I was given this guitar as a gift. Even I had the brand Ibanez not on the screen, although it is of course known to me. Therefore, I was a little skeptical at first when I saw what was given to me. But the skepticism evaporated very quickly when I saw what a beauty I was given. And not only does it look great, it feels great too.
The Ibanez GRG121DX feels wonderful in the hand, is light and well balanced. The neck is very thin, which suits people with small hands.
But in the end it's still the sound that matters and here you won't be disappointed. Of course, with an Ibanez you want to produce the really hard tones and it does that very well even with heavy distortion. But it can do even more. Thanks to the 5-way switch you can not only drive the two humbuckers individually or together, both can also be split and switched together as single coils and you can play the neck pickup as a single coil. This allows a great variability of the sound.
Or to put it simply: I am thrilled.

I really like the guitar. It feels good, can be played well and the sound is also great. With my guitar, however, I noticed negatively that there is a flaw on the surface of the body, which is very unsightly and the volume knob in its rotation does not always give the same resistance, because it probably somewhere a little grinds. My 120€ did not have such defects. Since I wish a better quality control.
