Gibson SG Standard '61 Custom Color Series Electric Guitar in Translucent Teal Including Case!
The SG Standard '61 returns to the classic design that has kept it relevant, played, and loved across generations and music genres. And now it’s available in striking special colors.
In 1961, the classic Les Paul model was briefly discontinued and a completely new design evolved into what is now known as the SG or "Solid Guitar." The Gibson SG Standard '61 retains the original design with a SlimTaper mahogany neck and bound rosewood fretboard. The mahogany body features deep routed chambers, a 5-ply teardrop pickguard, and a neck with 22 frets.
The nickel hardware includes a classic Tune-O-Matic bridge and Keystone tuners. The pickups are 60s BurstBucker humbuckers delivering a classic PAF tone with more power and top-end sparkle. The controls feature audio taper pots and Orange Drop capacitors. A hard shell case is also included.
