Ibanez 540PIIIHH-BK Genesis P Black

Ibanez 540PIIIHH Genesis - Japanese Precision for Uncompromising Playing!

The Ibanez 540PIIIHH from the Genesis Collection blends the high-performance DNA of classic Ibanez electric guitars with precise Japanese craftsmanship. An ultra-slim Super Wizard neck, two passive V7/V8 humbuckers and the proven Edge tremolo form a combo engineered for immediate response, fast playing techniques and flexible performance.

Genesis Collection With Classic Ibanez DNA

The Genesis Collection taps into the roots of the Ibanez instruments that earned the brand a solid place in rock and metal. The familiar concept pairs fast handling with straightforward appointments and a construction focused on precise playing. Manufacturing in Japan underlines the series' traditional link to Ibanez's early high-performance models.

Super Wizard Neck for Fast Playing Techniques

The bolt-on Super Wizard neck is built from five pieces of maple and walnut. With just 17 mm thickness at the 1st fret and 19 mm at the 12th fret, the profile feels exceptionally slim. The satin polyurethane finish on the neck supports a direct playing feel, while the bound rosewood fretboard with a 430 mm radius (16.9") and 24 jumbo frets offers ample room for bends, fast runs and complex chord work. The 25.5" scale equals 648 mm and combines familiar string tension with a clearly defined response.

V7 and V8 Humbuckers With Direct Control

For electric tone conversion, Ibanez uses the passive combo of a V7 humbucker at the neck and a V8 humbucker at the bridge. Both pickups are intentionally controlled simply via a 3-way switch and a single volume control. This keeps access to the pickup positions quick and clear—matching the guitar's consistently functional design.

Edge Tremolo and Locking System

The Ibanez Edge tremolo is one of the defining components of this build. Together with the locking nut, the system is set up for wide-ranging tremolo effects and controlled pitch variation. Gotoh tuners complete the hardware, while the 10.8 mm string spacing at the bridge provides a clearly defined string position. The guitar ships from the factory with strings in gauges .009, .011, .016, .024, .032 and .042 for standard E tuning.

Focused Specs for Modern Players

With a basswood body, a fast multi-piece neck, two humbuckers and a locking tremolo, the 540PIIIHH avoids unnecessary detours. The specification targets players who want a precise Japanese Ibanez instrument for technically demanding rock and metal styles and who value the classic Genesis concept.
