Epiphone Prophecy Flying V - modern technology for precise riffs!
The Epiphone Prophecy Flying V combines its distinctive V shape with features designed for modern metal, hard rock, and technically demanding playing. Its 25.5-inch scale, graphite-reinforced neck, and versatile Fishman Fluence humbuckers are made for guitarists who switch between powerful rhythm parts, fast leads, and clear tones.
Mahogany and thermally aged maple
The mahogany body features a strikingly grained flamed maple veneer. It is paired with a set, one-piece neck made of thermally aged maple, with graphite reinforcement for added stability. The HyperGlide profile and satin finish support smooth position changes. The extended scale also provides a solid foundation for defined drop tunings.
Compound radius and stainless steel frets
The ebony fingerboard is equipped with 24 stainless steel frets. Its compound radius transitions from 10 inches in the lower fingerboard area to 14 inches in the upper positions. This geometry combines a more rounded feel for chords with a flatter surface for solos and bends.
Three tonal characters with Fishman Fluence
The two specially voiced Fishman Fluence humbuckers offer three distinct voicings: a modern, active high-output sound, a character inspired by classic PAF humbuckers, and a clear, single-coil-inspired tone. Use the push/pull functions on the volume and tone controls to switch between these tonal options. The 3-way switch selects the pickups.
Fixed bridge and locking tuners
The LockTone Modern Tune-O-Matic bridge works with a Frequensator-inspired string-through-body design. Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners and a GraphTech nut complete the appointments. The Prophecy Flying V is built around a fixed bridge system. A Protector Ultralite gig bag is included for transport to rehearsals, the studio, and performances.
