The Squier Limited Edition Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass is modeled on the evolution of the legendary 1970s J Bass and combines the classic body shape with two Fender Designed Alnico single-coil pickups, traditional passive electronics and a 34" long-scale setup. The slim C-profile maple neck, an Indian laurel fretboard and 20 narrow-tall frets provide a comfortable foundation for precise bass playing across a variety of styles.

Two Alnico Single-Coils for Versatile Jazz Bass Tones

There’s a Fender Designed Alnico single-coil at both the neck and bridge. The two pickups are controlled by separate volume knobs so you can blend them independently, while a shared tone control shapes the high end of the overall signal. That lets you mix the pickups precisely—from the focused bridge pickup bite to the fuller character of the neck pickup. The passive wiring remains straightforward and allows quick adjustments right on the instrument.

The Indian laurel fretboard has a 9.5" (241 mm) radius and is fitted with 20 narrow-tall frets. Pearl block inlays underscore the 1970s-inspired design. The 34" (864 mm) scale corresponds to the classic long scale and delivers familiar string tension for defined bass lines, chordal playing and dynamic attack techniques. At the nut a bone nut with a width of 38.1 mm guides the strings.
