The Charvel Sleep Token III Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V combines a modern multi-scale design with active Fishman electronics and the direct ergonomics of the San Dimas platform. Designed for Sleep Token bassist III, this 5-string targets players who demand precise response, an extended tonal range and flexible sound shaping in a thoroughly modern instrument.

Signature Bass for the Modern Sleep Token Sound

Sleep Token combine massive, down-tuned riffs with atmospheric pop elements and R&B-infused grooves. III's bass does far more than hold the foundation: tight rhythmic passages alternate with melodic lines and pronounced groove. The Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V is tailored precisely for that versatile role. The poplar body forms the instrument's foundation, while a caramelized maple neck and fretboard create a unified surface for the left hand.

Multi-Scale for Five Strings

The scale runs from 34.4" to 35.5" and is implemented as a multi-scale system. The low string especially benefits from the longer scale, while the higher strings retain familiar playability. The fretboard also features a compound radius of 12" to 16", changing along the neck. Together with 24 jumbo frets, the bass is set up for a modern playing style where punchy rhythm work is as important as fast runs and melodic playing.

Fishman Fluence with Active Tone Control

Two Fishman Fluence Bass soapbar pickups sit at the heart of the electronics. Volume and blend controls let you set the balance between the two pickups directly. There's also an active Fishman 2-band EQ for bass and treble and a 3-way mini switch for pickup voicings. That allows you to shape the instrument's character for dense guitar walls, defined modern bass tones or more groove-oriented passages.

Hardware for an Uncompromising 5-String

The Charvel single-string bass bridge saddles each string individually and complements the multi-scale design. Hipshot Ultralite tuners reduce unnecessary mass at the headstock, while Luminlay side dots aid orientation on dark stages. Locking strap pins are also included. From the factory the bass is fitted with D'Addario EXL1705SL nickel-wound 5-string strings in gauges .045 to .130. The included Charvel Deluxe gigbag makes protected transport to rehearsal, studio or the gig easy.
