Besides the memo lock, which lets you set the machine back to the desired height at any time, the clutch and the tilt mechanism for the hi-hat cymbals are professional-grade. I have a DW 9000 HiHat machine (the price should be well known) and have to say that the XDrum is almost comparable in quality to the DW.
I would have one small suggestion for improvement - a small modification so that the screws don't have to be completely removed when the machine is dismantled.
But for this price there is nothing comparable.
