Each Zildjian cymbal of cast bronze is individually poured from the secret Zildjian alloy developed almost 400 years ago. Experienced cymbal makers use surface techniques proven over centuries to create unique cymbals played by the world’s top drummers and percussionists.
The deep, dry and shimmering sound developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century still inspires drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathing shape the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide tonal range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound soft or intense.
