XDrum Eco Ride Cymbal 18"

Get Started with Steady Ride Rhythms!

The XDrum Eco Ride 18" is a straightforward ride cymbal for beginner drummers and budget-conscious hobbyists. With its 18" diameter and brass construction, it offers a simple way to add a rhythm cymbal to your drum kit. Its medium-dark, full fundamental sound reflects the character of the XDrum Eco Series. This cymbal is especially well suited to early drumming practice, where the focus is on steady strokes and accompanying simple grooves.

The Ride Cymbal as a Timekeeper

While crash cymbals are mainly used to accent individual moments, a ride cymbal often provides steady rhythmic accompaniment. The XDrum Eco Ride lets you explore this playing style and practice your first ride patterns. Start with simple quarter and eighth notes, then gradually work on coordinating with the bass drum and snare drum. This makes the cymbal a useful addition to the classic rhythmic role already filled by your hi-hat.

A Basic Sound for Beginners

The 18" ride cymbal is made of brass and has a medium-dark, full sound. Like the other cymbals in the Eco Series, this model is designed as an affordable entry-level option. It delivers the basic function of a ride cymbal without claiming the detailed tonal distinctions found in higher-end cymbal ranges. If you’re starting out by exploring different playing styles and learning how to use a ride cymbal, this straightforward option is a practical choice.

A Practical Addition to Your First Drum Kit

In drum lessons and independent practice, the ride is a helpful part of the drum kit. It lets you vary rhythmic patterns, switch between the hi-hat and ride, and work on your first simple song accompaniments. The XDrum Eco Ride 18" is an affordable way to get started. It’s especially suited to hobby musicians learning the basics of an acoustic drum kit and looking for an easy way to expand their existing cymbal setup.
