Paiste Cymbals for the Perfect Sound!
2002 cymbals are made from SnBz-8 bronze, an alloy first used in 1963 for the Giant-Beat series, which evolved into the 2002 series in 1971. 2002 cymbals are particularly suited to situations that demand volume without sacrificing musical expression or precision. They are characterized by a wide frequency range and sound bright, powerful and clear.
Paiste, a family company, aims to constantly craft new sounds for cymbals, gongs and bronze percussion instruments to meet the needs of drummers and percussionists. The cymbals up to and including the Alpha series are produced in Germany, and the gongs are also handcrafted there. All other cymbal series are manufactured exclusively by hand at the company's headquarters in Switzerland. Paiste wants to design and to have designs realized. Every musician can contribute new sound ideas and thus provide fresh impetus for further innovations.
