This kit in Nebula Mappa Burl Fade finish offers a beautiful combination of the deep-to-mid tones from the two plies of American black walnut and the power and projection of the four plies of birch.

Evans Drumheads

The toms are fitted with Evans G1 coated batter heads and Tama clear single-ply Power Craft II resonant heads. Bass drums are equipped with Evans clear EQ4 batter heads and Tama resonant heads with a damping ring.

The Star-Cast Mounting System has always delivered maximum resonance and stability on Tama's professional drums. Its streamlined design makes it easier to position the toms closer together for greater ease and comfort.

Die-Cast Hoops

Hoops affect not only the tuning of a drum but also its tone. That's why hoop choice was so important to the designers of Tama's professional drum lines. We chose zinc die-cast hoops, produced by injecting molten metal into molds. Die-cast hoops have a higher density and a more uniform shape than triple-flanged hoops, which are formed by bending metal sheets. Die-cast hoops make tuning more even and easier because the tension rods always seat correctly on the hoop. Drums equipped with die-cast hoops also deliver a snappier attack, clear, resonant highs, and much more powerful rimshots.
