Evans Drumheads

The toms are fitted with Evans G1 coated batter heads and Tama clear single-ply Power Craft II resonant heads. Bass drums come with Evans clear EQ4 batter heads and Tama resonant heads with damping rings.

Star-Cast Mounting System

The Star-Cast Mounting System has long provided maximum resonance and stability on Tama's pro drums. Its streamlined design lets you position the toms closer together for greater playability and comfort.

Maple/Birch Shells

The maple/birch combination projects the warmth of maple with the clarity of birch. The tones are clean, articulated and very well balanced. The voice throughout the kit sits clearly in the mix, and the die-cast hoops produce clear, punchy, full tones.

Die-Cast Hoops

Hoops affect not only a drum's tuning but also its sound. That's why hoop selection was so important to the designers of Tama's professional drum lines. We chose zinc die-cast hoops, made by injecting molten metal into molds. Die-cast hoops have a higher density and a more uniform shape than triple-flanged hoops formed by bending metal sheets. Die-cast hoops make tuning more consistent and easier because the tension bolts always seat properly on the hoop. Drums equipped with die-cast hoops also deliver a snappier attack, clear resonant highs and much more powerful rimshots.
