The choice of materials for metal parts is not to be compared with high-quality parts, but even the aluminum parts used have all fit excellently and you do not have the impression that they break very quickly. Everything seems a little more "rickety" than a 1,000 euro drum kit, but assembled it then suddenly holds everything bombproof.
As a "non-musical father" I can't say much about the sound quality, but it doesn't sound terrible to me. That cheap brass cymbals sound far worse than expensive bronze even I know, but then I have to spend more for it.
