I have actually been convinced by these heads for years and have recommended them several times, as they had by far the best price-performance ratio that I have ever experienced with tom heads. Both in terms of sound and durability.
Unfortunately this seems to have changed, or I got a "bad batch". The heads from my last order now look the same after three weeks as the previous ones did after a year. I haven't even been on set much and haven't had a band rehearsal since, where I usually play harder than when practicing/recording. This also applies to the 16" version that I ordered. You can already see several deep dents, which was previously only the case after a long time, even when playing harder. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend buying it.
