I find that the Remo skins need a little longer to be well tuned. But the sound is really great.
Tip: Tune the resonant head a little higher than the percussion head -> paradoxically more low end, tone and less sharp in the attack.
I had first mounted the included Remo Falam Slam (skin protection / amplification dot), but that has changed with the sound too much and that skin sounded like a P3 Clear. When I removed the Falam Slam, the warmer sound came through the coating and it now sounds a lot softer. Who does not mind, which will have with the supplied dot certainly long a joy with the fur.
Unfortunately, the coating dissolves very quickly (I use a TAMA Classic Felt Beater). With another well-known manufacturer (E****) I did not have this problem and the skin sounded just as good.
I will now play it until it is through and then switch back to my favorite manufacturer.
Nevertheless, sound-wise and from the feeling TOP. Processing ok.
