I was a little unsure whether my DW base would fit: It fits perfectly, as does the seat. There is still room for small items, in my case a few shakers, paperwork such as sheet music and small items. Once everything is nicely packed, it feels like it weighs as much as my cymbal bag (hihats plus 4 cymbals).
