Stage Pianos for Every Gig: Yamaha CP88 and CP73!
Yamaha presents the CP88 and CP73 models, two new stage pianos for live musicians. Both instruments are especially lightweight yet solidly built, offering a wide range of sounds from traditional grand pianos to electric piano classics and synth tones.

The CP88, featuring Natural Wood Graded Hammer (NW-GH) and the corresponding authentic playing feel, is the right choice for purist pianists. The CP73 offers 73 evenly weighted keys for keyboard players who want to play flexibly with a variety of sounds on stage. The particularly clear operating concept, clever connection options, and the Seamless Sound Switching function make the CP88 and CP73 perfect stage instruments that can be sonically expanded through content updates.

Stage Pianos for Modern Musicians
With the CP88 and CP73, Yamaha offers two new stage pianos tailored to the needs of live musicians. Demanding pianists will find their perfect match in the CP88, while stage keyboardists will find the compact CP73 just right. Both instruments are tour-ready thanks to their aluminum housings and compact form factor, which significantly eases transport.
The Perfect Playing Feel
The playing feel directly influences a musician’s performance. Yamaha’s CP series stage pianos therefore offer finely tuned keyboards for every application.

The CP88 places great value on an absolutely authentic grand piano feel when playing and pampers pianists’ fingers with natural wood as well as synthetic ivory and ebony – a keyboard can hardly feel more refined.
The CP73 uses Balanced Hammer Action, meaning an evenly weighted hammer mechanism. This gives keyboardists optimal control over the tone, regardless of the chosen sound.

Acoustic, Electric, Synthetic: Always the Right Sound
The Yamaha CP88 and CP73 stage pianos stand out with a diverse selection of flexible and high-quality sounds. Classical pianists will appreciate sample versions of two outstanding, world-famous grand pianos: Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial. A Yamaha U1 upright piano is also part of the sound palette.
Keyboardists will find famous legends among the electric piano sounds, always delivering the right tone for their performance. Virtual effects like Wah-Wah or Phaser allow further sound shaping. This extensive library is complemented by synthesizer sounds that provide the necessary sonic flexibility for live performances.
A Piano That Grows Beyond Itself
The Yamaha CP88 and CP73 stage pianos already offer a large sound selection for stage keyboardists and demanding pianists right out of the box. As the first models of the CP series, the CP88 and CP73 also offer the possibility to be enhanced with high-quality additional piano and keyboard sounds via content updates. The first update includes a 1967 tine piano, a characterful reed piano, and a classic Yamaha C7 grand piano – one of the most recorded pianos in the world. Further updates will allow the sound library to be expanded even more in the future.

Made for Musicians...
When developing the Yamaha CP88 and CP73 stage pianos, the focus was on maximum stage suitability. This is evident, for example, in the operating concept, where each control on the instrument’s surface corresponds to exactly one function. This eliminates navigating through menus and submenus; every function is directly accessible and can be reached quickly, safely, and intuitively even in hectic live situations.
The Seamless Sound Switching function allows switching to another sound while already played chords are still fading out. This way, the final chord of a piece can gently fade away while the sound for the next piece is already loaded.

... Optimized for the Stage
The connection options of the CP88 and CP73 underline their clear focus on live use. In addition to the usual 6.3 mm jack outputs, the new Yamaha stage pianos also feature balanced XLR outputs. This allows direct connection to a mixing console or stage box. A stereo input in the form of two 6.3 mm jack sockets enables connecting additional sound sources such as a smartphone or another keyboard.
Detachable Keyboard Stand with Height Adjustment!
This very stable, double-braced keyboard stand provides secure support for all common stage pianos, master keyboards, portable keyboards, and synthesizers up to a maximum of 30 kg. Thanks to its extremely robust construction, it is also ideal for tough everyday use on stage. The sturdy rubber sleeves offer absolutely slip- and scratch-resistant support, and the practical leveling parquet protectors (4 on the feet and 2 on the top) provide more stability even on uneven surfaces. To shift the weight or compensate, the rubber protectors can be rotated and adjusted as needed. For a long service life, all metal parts are coated with a durable powder coating. Of course, it can be completely disassembled in no time for easy transport and space-saving storage.
Professional Headphones with Extra High Wearing Comfort
The KH-900 features a wide frequency range from 15 to 25,000 Hz, delivering balanced, nuanced sound with brilliant, clear highs and precise, rich bass. Due to the uncolored midrange reproduction, these comfort headphones are ideal both for ambitious hi-fi enjoyment in the studio and for playing instruments such as digital pianos or electronic drums.
The soft, wide synthetic leather headband of the Pronomic studio headphones automatically adjusts to head size, ensuring a comfortable fit. To guarantee extremely comfortable wear even during long sessions, the two circumaural ear cups are extra large and super soft-padded, avoiding excessive pressure. Maximum comfort is rounded off by the single-sided cable feed, which prevents unwanted cable tangling.
Thanks to the low impedance of only 32 ohms, the KH-900 can already impress with powerful sound and sufficient power reserves even on very low-power headphone outputs such as MP3 players or smartphones. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug provides excellent transmission quality. A 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter is also included.
