The Modern Nylon-String Guitar for Quiet Practice!
The Yamaha SLG200N Silent Guitar is the ideal choice for players who want a high-quality nylon-string instrument that stays flexible, quiet and uncompromising. Thanks to its innovative silent guitar design you can practice anytime without disturbing others. At the same time, the built-in SRT Powered System delivers a surprisingly natural tone that closely mirrors the feel of a classical concert guitar.
Authentic Playing Feel Despite Silent Design
The SLG200N features a full 650 mm scale length, a wide fingerboard and nylon strings, so it plays like a traditional classical guitar. The sturdy mahogany body combined with the rosewood fingerboard provides balanced handling and a responsive touch. Longer practice sessions remain comfortable and fatigue-free.
SRT Powered System for Realistic Tone
Yamaha's SRT Powered System pairs high-quality piezo pickups with digital sound shaping to produce a warm, dynamic guitar tone that performs convincingly both through headphones and via an amplifier or audio interface. Reverb and chorus effects are built in and easy to control.
Perfect for Home, Stage and Travel
With its virtually silent acoustic output, the SLG200N is ideal for practicing in apartments, hotel rooms or backstage areas. The detachable frame allows an extremely compact packing size so the guitar is easy to transport. Its light weight supports top-level mobility.
Versatile Connectivity
In addition to the headphone jack, the silent guitar offers a line output and an aux input for feeding in playbacks or tracks. That makes practice sessions effective and easy to record. Battery operation provides maximum independence.
Discover relaxed practice and authentic tone with the Yamaha SLG200 Silent Guitar!

Haptics - a tad smaller than a 4/4 concert guitar - and on the knee for me a clearly different "position". Very good posture with guitar strap (I use the two strap holder buttons on the "body" and thus not on the peg part with a cord strap).
Sound - full in directly connected headphones (Bose or OdioOne and very quiet without amplifier)
Tuning - integrated tuning module with display, where under indication of the struck string E, A, d, G, h, E just the tone lies and whether more must be tightened or loosened (this goes also with loud environment very well)
Bag - after dismantling the upper body bow it can be stowed away pleasantly "small" in the well padded bag
Lower finger rest - is further back under the string level than on a classical guitar and therefore needs getting used to
And yet I say: I am really ultimately thrilled. The differences to the concert guitar can be retrained over time.
