The Fender American Ultra II Precision Bass features an alder body with smooth, ergonomic contours. The quartersawn maple neck (vertical grain) feels wonderfully smooth and supple with its "Modern D" profile, Ultra Satin finish, and ultra-soft rounded edges. The 10"-14" compound radius fretboard is available in ebony or quartersawn maple and is equipped with medium jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. A tapered neck heel and sculpted body back provide unprecedented playability with comfortable access to the highest frets. If you want to adjust the string height, it’s easily done via the adjustment screw in the headstock.

Two specially voiced Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups give this low-end powerhouse its unmistakable bass tone with an enormous tonal range from vintage warm to crisp modern, all completely hum-free. The newly designed preamp lets you fine-tune the sound down to the smallest nuances. Typical musician-friendly features of the series include an S-1 switch for active/passive mode, a passive tone control, and an active 3-band EQ with switchable mid frequencies. Other tour-ready features: an adjustable HiMass top-load/string-through-body bridge, lightweight Fender tuners with tapered shafts, knurled aluminum control knobs, and a single-ply anodized aluminum pickguard.
