The Katana-110 Bass uses the same pioneering design philosophy as the renowned Katana guitar amps, delivering high-quality sound and modern features perfectly tailored to the needs of ambitious bass players. With three unique amp characters and built-in BOSS effects, you can create a wide variety of tones, supported by a stage-ready 60 Watt Class-AB power amp, a 10" custom woofer, and a tweeter with an on/off switch. The comprehensive EQ, numerous connection options, and more ensure the Katana-110 Bass excels in every application—on stage, in the studio, or practicing at home.

The Katana-110 Bass delivers high-performance amplification based on BOSS’s decades of experience and expertise. Equipped with 60 watts from a proven Class-AB power amp, this stage-ready amp impresses with its massive volume, plenty of punch and presence, and a smooth, natural drive that grows as you crank the gain. Three preamp types are available—each with a powerful three-stage shape switch for fine-tuning your tone—so you can always find the perfect sound for any playing style or genre.

With its custom speaker system and sturdy combo cabinet, the Katana-110 Bass produces an impressive sound that drives your band forward in any situation. The powerful low-end foundation from the 10" woofer is complemented by a tweeter for defined highs that perfectly reproduce slapping techniques and modern playing styles. This efficient bi-amping design ensures clear and balanced tone. If you prefer a traditional bass sound, you can switch off the tweeter via a control on the panel.

Four Independent Effect Sections

The Katana series is known for its integrated BOSS effects, and the Katana-110 Bass is no exception. While the dedicated compressor/limiter and drive sections shape the core sound, FX1 and FX2 offer a wide range of options from the BOSS bass effect library—from staples like chorus and flanger to octave, bass synthesizer, and more. The FX2 section also includes delay and reverb effects. Plus, the BOSS Tone Studio editor gives you access to over 60 effect types.

Precision Tools for Tone Shaping

The Katana-110 Bass’s intuitive interface lets you quickly and easily dial in your sound. The studio-inspired blend section lets you mix effect and dry signals, with the dry signal shapeable via three customizable settings to ensure optimal tonal integration. A comprehensive 4-band EQ is also available, including three selectable frequencies in the low-mid and high-mid bands.

Versatile Performance

With its flexibility, the Katana-110 Bass is the ideal partner for any live gig. Six tone setting memory slots let you save and recall your favorite sound setups, including preamp type, EQ, blend, and effect settings. You can switch between memory slots on the amp or via an optional footswitch, expression pedal, or the GA-FC foot controller. An XLR output is provided for PA connection, with a switch to select between direct, pre, or post signal pickup.

Workhorse for Recording and Practice

The Katana-110 Bass is equally suited for studio recording and home practice. Its compact size takes up little space, while the variable power control lets you enjoy fully driven tones even at bedroom volume. The headphone/recording direct output sends a signal with effects, mic’d speaker emulation, and three Air Feel settings. You can also record directly to a DAW via the USB port.

Full Control with Boss Tone Studio

For even deeper control over your sounds, the BOSS Tone Studio editor lets you dive into the heart of the Katana-110 Bass. Adjust preamp, EQ, and blend settings, choose from up to 60 BOSS effects, and organize your sounds into live sets for different gigs. You can also fine-tune the global EQ to tailor the amp’s overall sound to your needs and tweak system parameters like Air Feel and USB. By connecting the optional BOSS Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adapter to the amp’s rear, you can wirelessly edit settings via an iOS or Android device.
