Darkglass ADAM Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine

Maximum Versatility for Bassists!

The Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine is the result of a collaboration with one of the most renowned artists in today's metal scene – Adam "Nolly" Getgood. This pedal bundles Nolly's entire tonal arsenal, carefully refined through years of intensive testing and experience into an impressive chassis. ADAM features three fully programmable rotating footswitch presets. In each preset you can save your own blend of compression, distortion, impulse responses, EQ parameters and signal-chain settings. It also sports a unique and innovative precision touch-slider control surface for the programmable 6-band EQ. Additionally, it includes a USB-C audio interface and balanced stereo outputs for studio monitors, and it is equipped with an extra-accurate chromatic tuner that also works well with down-tuned guitars and basses.

Compressor

This knob lets you set the compressor's input gain, which determines how strongly the signal is compressed, while the intelligent make-up-gain algorithm keeps the compressor's output at a usable level. The compressor offers 5 available ratios: 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, 20:1 and ALL IN.

Distortion

The heart of the distortion section is an authentic model of Nolly's favorite vintage distortion. Working with Darkglass, he used that as a foundation to develop five distinct distortion modes, ranging from mild, ultra-clean overdrives to synth-like fuzz tones.

Cabinet Simulation

The Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine supports impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations and includes 5 cab slots. The standard IRs were recorded by Nolly himself. With the Darkglass Suite (desktop or mobile) you can assign new IRs to the 5 available slots.

Darkglass Suite

With the desktop or mobile version of the Darkglass Suite you can tailor the settings of each preset to your preferences. Signal-chain options are available together with the built-in noise gate, and you can load impulse responses from the Darkglass library or your own third-party impulses into the available slots.

Each output offers individual routing options and MIDI mapping to control the additional preset slots via program-change messages and control-change messages for the controls you select.
