Stylish Sound Experience!
The Blackmore from Bennett & Ross demonstrates great taste in both sound and design. This compact speaker houses a sophisticated bass-reflex sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port and an aux-in input. Its built-in battery delivers music enjoyment away from power outlets. All of it is wrapped in a striking leather-look finish with high-quality components.
Sound Marvel With Solid Dimensions
The Blackmore delivers first-class hi-fi sound with its 60 Watt music output - the interplay of powerful speakers and the bass-reflex port brings outstanding music enjoyment to your home, your garden or wherever you choose.
Three precision rotary controls for volume, bass and treble also give you the option to perfectly tailor the sound to the environment.
Wireless or Wired? Both!
The Blackmore features a Bluetooth receiver with a range of about 10 meters, enabling convenient operation of the device from your smartphone or tablet. For playback devices without Bluetooth, the speaker offers a 3.5 mm stereo aux input and a slot for USB storage media. The internal battery can be charged via the USB-C port. With its 6000 mAh capacity, it delivers enough power for over 10 hours of wireless music enjoyment!
True-Wireless Function in Stereo
If you have two BB-860As on hand, they can be paired so the stereo signal is split between the two speakers. For this true stereo sound with double the power, a short press of a button pairs them. Then activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and you're ready to go.
Vintage Design at Its Best
You can demand high standards from the design as well: an elegant, finely crafted faux-leather covering dresses the Blackmore and makes it a focal point in any setting. The tactile, well-engineered controls, a toggle switch for the on/off function and the elaborately designed two-tone front grille round off the overall picture harmoniously.

However, I am disappointed with the sound. The sound volume is nowhere near that of the wired Blackmore 860. The highs and mids are very clear and clean, but the lows lack volume and power. The sound is almost indistinguishable from its smaller brother, the Backmore Junior 820 rechargeable battery.
The volume also reaches its maximum at level 6/7 and doesn't really get any louder after level 10. However, I have to say that the sound remains very clean and distortion-free even at maximum level. The overall sound is very clean and somehow harmonious, but anyone who likes a powerful sound with strong bass will unfortunately be disappointed.
