The Perfect Solution for Run-and-Gun Filmmakers!
The new Zoom F1-SP Field Recorder with SGH-6 shotgun microphone is the perfect solution for run-and-gun filmmakers — and anyone who wants to become one.
The SGH-6 shotgun microphone is known for its high-quality, hyper-directional recordings. Paired with the F1 field recorder, you can create high-resolution audio files up to 24-bit / 96 kHz and in top audio quality! The F1 also records audio files in WAV or MP3 format. WAV files are automatically time-stamped so the Broadcast Wave Format (BWF) becomes compatible.
Easy to Set Up and Use
The included shock mount makes attaching it to your camera easy. Simply snap it on, connect the stereo cable to the F1 field recorder on one end and the camera on the other, and you’re ready to go! For film or music-video shoots, you can set the field recorder to create a stereo audio file during recording that can be edited in postproduction.
Good Visibility in Any Weather
The newly developed 1.25-inch monochrome display shows all functions such as levels and battery status while filming and remains easy to read even in sunlight. Using the simple one-touch button control system you can always access and adjust recording level, limiter control, low-cut filter and volume.
Ready for Anything
What would a film be without some action? The SMF-1 shock mount is designed to prevent vibrations that can occur while shooting. That means you can run, walk, jump or do whatever else you need to do without worry.
Key Features at a Glance
- Calibrate and Sync: The F1's tone generator provides a test tone to help set the correct audio level. The sound marker makes aligning audio and video easier.
- No Chance of Overload: An onboard limiter ensures your levels stay safe when sudden loud peaks occur.
- Easy Power Options: The F1 can run on two AAA batteries or optionally with an AD-17 AC adapter.
- USB Connection: Transfer recordings in card reader mode to your computer or record directly to your computer via the F1's USB audio interface.
Last But Not Least
The SGH-6 sits in an extremely lightweight aluminum housing and is therefore barely noticeable. Thanks to the microphone connector integrated into the F1 field recorder in Zoom's proprietary format, you can attach the various microphone capsules Zoom offers, such as the SSH-6, XYH-6, MSH-6, XYH-5 and the EXH-6.
Keep the camera rolling — the next video is waiting!
