The New A Series - Built to Reveal
The new ADAM Audio A Series stands for uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound reproduction. The A Series offers five different models - A4V, A7V, A44H, A77H and A8H: all developed for a wide range of applications. These include primarily professional and home recording studios, but also broadcast, installations and home audio.
The new series brings smart, practical innovations, including ADAM Audio's rotatable HPS waveguide and DSP-based features to adapt to individual room acoustics and listening habits. All settings can be controlled remotely in real time via remote software. Upgradeable firmware ensures that A Series monitors keep pace with ADAM Audio’s current standards over time. An extendable warranty of up to five years and customer-focused support guarantee optimal usability of the studio monitors for many years.
Precision In Perfection
The A8H features an 8-inch woofer made from multi-layer mineral-fiber material (MLM), an innovative midrange driver and ADAM Audio’s handcrafted X-ART tweeter. Like all A Series models, the A8H offers innovative features to tailor sound reproduction to personal listening preferences and acoustic environments: a rotatable HPS waveguide and integrated DSP technology provide those capabilities.
This studio monitor suits virtually any monitoring situation in medium to larger rooms. It’s the perfect choice when the highest fidelity is required. The A8H is available in left and right versions.

A Control Remote Software
The DSP-based features of all A Series monitors can be controlled remotely in real time via Ethernet. The A Control remote software does exactly that. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
Real-Time Remote Control
The rear panel of A Series monitors offers many adjustment options that are typically not directly accessible from the listening position. With A Control, you can conveniently adjust monitor levels and all equalizer settings from the sweet spot.
Enhanced Adjustment Options
For some applications, the backplate options may not offer enough precision. A Control enables exact adjustments via six parametric EQs and low- and high-shelf filters. Each filter band can be set for gain, frequency and Q to give users full freedom to optimize the speaker’s sound in the room.
Integration Of Sonarworks SoundID Reference
Last but not least, A Control also provides the platform for our collaboration with market leader Sonarworks. Via A Control you can import calibration curves generated by "Sound ID Reference" and load them onto the DSP of A Series monitors. When this option is active, calibration happens directly on the speaker, so no additional VSTs or software are required. That also means audio playback is always Sonarworks-calibrated regardless of the audio source or playback device.

Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter
The DSP-based features of all A Series monitors can be controlled remotely in real time via Ethernet. The A Control remote software does exactly that. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
What Is A Waveguide?
A "waveguide" refers to a conical sound-guide that surrounds the tweeter opening in this case. It enables more homogeneous and better-directed sound radiation. The A Series HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguides are specially developed for our X-ART tweeters and are made from a specific fiberglass composite. This material has very low resonance and helps minimize unwanted vibrations.
Wide Horizontally, Focused Vertically
In the horizontal plane, the waveguide aligns the directed radiation of the X-ART tweeter with the woofer and midrange in the crossover region. The result is a more even off-axis frequency response, a more stable stereo image and a larger sweet spot.
In the vertical plane, the waveguide reduces reflections from larger studio objects such as mixing consoles, desks or the ceiling. This helps prevent comb-filtering effects during monitoring.

Optimal Sound In Any Placement
The X-ART tweeter, handcrafted in Germany, impresses with precise transient response and fine detail retrieval. ADAM Audio’s X-ART tweeter is used across the entire A Series and provides a nuanced sound throughout the product line. For the first time in the A Series, a rotatable HPS waveguide design allows the tweeter to rotate 90° or 180°. This lets you use the monitors vertically or horizontally without losing the benefits of the waveguide.

Bass-Reflex System, Cabinet & Mounting
The new A Series cabinets clearly follow ADAM Audio’s typical product design, particularly the AX Series.
Deeper Reproduction, Higher Efficiency
Double-sided, flow-optimized bass-reflex ports improve air movement and significantly reduce aerodynamic noise compared to previous models. Every cubic centimeter counts, so the extremely compact cabinets of the series were trimmed for maximum efficiency in an "industrial" design. The more rounded edges are acoustically advantageous. The noticeably more massive baffle prevents cabinet resonance.
Everything Considered: Mounting
All A Series cabinets are prepared for easy mounting to walls, ceilings or stands. On the underside they feature four M8 threaded openings 10 mm deep, arranged in a rectangle measuring 127 mm x 70 mm.

Automated Room Correction with Sonarworks
At ADAM Audio we are particularly pleased to offer a solution together with Sonarworks for automated room correction that runs directly on the DSP of A Series studio monitors.
Unfavorable Room Acoustics? No Problem!
The A Series speakers are designed to adapt to changing demands, preferences and environments. In many cases it’s impossible to acoustically treat a room due to construction constraints, high costs or simply because the studio doubles as a living or bedroom. With A Control you can create precise filter settings to compensate for room shortcomings. Signal processing happens directly on the speaker’s DSP. Alternatively, after measurement, calibration curves from SoundID Reference by Sonarworks can be loaded onto the DSP platform.

Calibrated Sound For All Audio Sources With Less CPU Load
An intensive collaboration between ADAM Audio and Sonarworks produced the world’s first room correction that uses the studio monitor’s own processing power. This eliminates the need for a DAW plug-in, simplifies workflow and reduces the host computer’s CPU load. The room correction is available at any time and independent of the computer.
Hybrid Amplification
The A Series combines the best of digital and analog amplification.

Efficient Amplification
The A Series woofers are driven by Class-D amplifiers - ideal for linear performance and minimal distortion. The amplifiers used stand out for their high efficiency and low heat generation, leaving headroom for further improvements and even higher output.
Engineered For Best Performance
Class-AB amplifiers drive the tweeter and midrange. They are known for neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is optimized for its frequency range. The selection and combination of components result from countless measurements and listening sessions in ADAM Audio’s development labs.
Multi-Layer-Mineral Woofers (MLM)
State-of-the-art materials and advanced analysis and design methods led to our new long-excursion woofers.

Mineral Fiber
The cone of an A Series woofer consists of several firmly bonded layers of a mineral-fiber material. This material combines minimal weight with very high stiffness. The exact composition was tailored to each speaker model. Together with the newly developed magnet system, each A Series woofer delivers unusually high output with minimal distortion - essential for clean and powerful bass reproduction.
The Development Process
Before series production, the A Series woofers underwent numerous tests and prototypes. Using Klippel simulation tools, ADAM Audio’s R&D team developed transducers that maintain minimal distortion even at maximum sound pressure.
Midrange Drivers
The A Series midrange driver ensures precise reproduction of the frequency range to which the human ear is particularly sensitive.
Committed To Precision
The A Series midrange follows the acclaimed DCH midrange from the S Series and provides exceptionally clean reproduction in the critical midrange. It also frees the woofer from reproducing mid frequencies. Both the A77H and A8H are designed as 3-way systems and include the A Series midrange driver.

Power Like A Piston Radiator
The midrange cone uses the same multi-layer mineral fibers as the woofers. The cone is bonded and cut from multiple layers in a special process. The voice coil is suspended in a homogeneous magnetic field with a large, linear operating range to avoid sound coloration. Distortion caused by cone breakup lies well outside the midrange’s operating band.
Voicings
"Voicings" are preset sound profiles. All A Series models let you select two voicings on the rear panel via a button: "UNR" and "Pure". Room correction is independent of the selected voicing. When using A Control, the "Ext" option provides further functions, e.g. more detailed adjustments or Sonarworks calibration.
Uniform Natural Response & Pure (UNR & PURE)
"UNR" or "Uniform Natural Response" offers a minimally colored yet very natural-sounding frequency response. It is inspired by a few particularly popular monitors from ADAM Audio’s history, notably the AX Series. The pleasant and lively sound allows long production and songwriting sessions without fatigue and is also excellent for music enjoyment.
"Pure" provides the most neutral and linear frequency response possible. This voicing is the first choice when maximum fidelity is required—typically for mixing and mastering.

Room Correction
To optimally adapt to the acoustic environment, each A Series speaker has a 4-band equalizer on the rear with parameters "Bass", "Desk", "Presence" and "Treble". Each band can be adjusted in predefined steps to compensate typical acoustic problems that occur with speaker placement in a room.

Bass: Overlap Caused By Walls
If a speaker is placed close to a hard wall, low frequencies overlap and the bass region becomes over-represented. The "Bass" adjustment counteracts this so the speaker doesn’t sound boomy. Available settings are +2, 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Desk: Reflections From Desk Or Console
When a speaker is placed on or near a desktop surface, the listening position typically experiences an overemphasis in the low-mid region caused by early reflections. The "Desk" control compensates for this effect so the speaker doesn’t sound boxy. Available settings are 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Presence: Compensating Room Acoustics
Under certain circumstances the midrange may sound harsh due to room acoustics or equipment in the room. The "Presence" control tames this harshness and restores the speaker’s natural character. Available settings are +1, 0 and -1 dB.
Treble: Compensating High-Frequency Absorption
In rooms with too much or too little high-frequency absorption the sound can seem dull or too sharp. The "Treble" adjustment restores a natural balance. Settings are +1.5, 0 and -1.5 dB.
Digital Signal Processing
Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A Series monitors provide significantly more and improved options for acoustic tuning compared to purely analog speakers.

Consistency And Longevity
A major advantage of DSP-based speakers versus analog systems is their consistency and predictability. Because signal processing happens digitally, crossovers, filters and EQs don’t age like analog components. Conversion uses high-quality AD converters selected by ADAM Audio to achieve excellent performance.
Always Up To Date
The powerful DSP in the A Series enables many features, from remote control and room correction to selecting different voicings. All DSP-based features can be updated via Ethernet, including filter types, voicings and new functions.
