The New A Series - Built to Reveal
The new ADAM Audio A Series stands for uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound reproduction. The A Series includes five models - A4V, A7V, A44H, A77H and A8H - all developed for a wide range of applications, primarily professional and home recording studios, but also broadcast, installations and home audio.
The new series introduces clever, useful innovations such as ADAM Audio’s rotatable HPS waveguide and DSP-based features for adapting to specific room acoustics and listening preferences. All settings can be controlled remotely in real time via remote software. Upgradeable firmware ensures A Series monitors remain aligned with ADAM Audio’s current standards long term. Extendable warranty coverage of up to five years and customer-focused support guarantee optimal usability of the monitors for many years.
Precision in Perfection
The A8H features an 8-inch woofer made from multi-layer mineral-fiber material (MLM), an innovative midrange driver and ADAM Audio’s handcrafted X-ART tweeter. Like all A Series models, the A8H offers advanced features to tailor the sound to personal listening habits and acoustic environments: a rotatable HPS waveguide and integrated DSP technology provide this flexibility.
This studio monitor suits every monitoring scenario in medium to large rooms. It’s the perfect choice whenever the highest level of fidelity is required. The A8H is available in left and right versions.

A Control Remote Software
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
Real-Time Remote Control
The rear panel of A Series monitors offers many adjustment options that are typically not accessible from the listening position. With A Control remote software, you can adjust monitoring levels and all equalizer settings conveniently from the sweet spot.
Advanced Adjustment Options
For some applications the on-panel backplate options may not offer enough flexibility and precision. A Control enables exact adjustments via six parametric EQs and low- and high-shelf filters. Each band can be adjusted for gain, frequency and Q to give users full freedom when optimizing speaker sound in the room.
Integration of Sonarworks Sound ID Reference
Last but not least, A Control provides the platform for our collaboration with industry leader Sonarworks. Calibration curves generated with "Sound ID Reference" can be imported via A Control and uploaded to the A Series monitors’ DSP. When enabled, calibration is applied directly on the speaker, eliminating the need for additional VSTs or software. This also means playback is always Sonarworks-calibrated regardless of source or playback device.

Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
What Is a Waveguide?
A "waveguide" is a conical acoustic horn surrounding the tweeter opening. It enables more uniform and better-directed sound dispersion. The A Series HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguides are specifically designed for our X-ART tweeters and are made from a special fiberglass composite. This material has very low resonance and helps minimize unwanted vibrations.
Wide Horizontally, Focused Vertically
In the horizontal plane the waveguide aligns the X-ART tweeter’s directional pattern with the woofer/midrange across the crossover frequencies. The result is a more even off-axis frequency response, a more stable stereo image and a larger sweet spot.
In the vertical plane the waveguide reduces reflections from larger studio objects such as consoles, desks or the room ceiling. This helps prevent comb-filtering effects during monitoring.

Optimal Sound in Any Orientation
The German-handcrafted X-ART tweeter delivers precise transient response and fine-detail reproduction. ADAM Audio’s X-ART tweeter is used across the A Series and provides a nuanced sound throughout the lineup. For the first time in the A Series a rotatable HPS waveguide design allows the tweeter to be rotated by 90° or 180°, enabling monitors to be used vertically or horizontally without losing the benefits of the waveguide.

Bass-Reflex System, Enclosure & Mounting
The new enclosures of the A Series clearly follow ADAM Audio’s typical product design, especially referencing the AX Series.
Deeper Playback, Higher Efficiency
Double-sided, flow-optimized bass-reflex ports improve airflow and significantly reduce turbulence noise compared to previous models. Every cubic centimeter counts, so the series’ compact enclosures were optimized in an "industrial" design for maximum efficiency. The more strongly chamfered edges are acoustically beneficial. The substantially heavier front baffle prevents cabinet resonances.
Thought Through: Mounting
All A Series enclosures are prepared for easy mounting to walls, ceilings or stands. They feature four M8 threaded holes on the underside with a depth of 10 mm, arranged in a rectangle measuring 127 mm x 70 mm.

Automated Room Correction with Sonarworks
At ADAM Audio we are particularly pleased to offer an automated room correction solution in collaboration with Sonarworks, which runs directly on the A Series monitors’ DSP.
Poor Room Acoustics? No Problem!
The A Series speakers are designed to adapt to changing requirements, preferences and environments. In many cases it’s not possible to acoustically treat the room due to structural constraints, cost, or because the studio doubles as a living or sleeping area. With A Control you can apply precise filter settings to compensate for room shortcomings; signal processing is performed directly on the speaker DSP. Alternatively, after measuring, calibration curves from SoundID Reference by Sonarworks can be loaded onto the DSP platform.

Calibrated Sound for All Sources With Less CPU Load
An intensive collaboration between ADAM Audio and Sonarworks produced the world’s first room correction that leverages the monitor’s own processing power. This eliminates the need for a DAW plug-in, simplifies workflow and reduces the host computer’s CPU load. The room correction is available at any time and independent of the computer.
Hybrid Amplification
The A Series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds.

Efficient Amplification
The A Series woofers are driven by Class-D amplifiers—ideal for linear performance and minimal distortion. The amplifiers used are highly efficient and produce little heat, leaving room for further improvements and higher power.
For Top Performance
Class-AB amplifiers are used for the high- and midrange drivers, prized for their neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is precisely optimized for its frequency band. Component selection and setup are the result of countless measurements and listening sessions in ADAM Audio’s development labs.
Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer (MLM)
State-of-the-art materials and advanced analysis and design methods led to the development of our new long-throw woofers.

Mineral Fiber
An A Series woofer cone consists of several tightly bonded layers of mineral fiber material. This material offers minimal weight at very high stiffness. The exact composition is tuned for each driver model. Together with the newly developed magnet system, each A Series woofer delivers exceptionally high levels with minimal distortion—essential for clean, powerful bass reproduction.
The Development Process
Before production release the A Series woofers underwent extensive testing and prototyping. Using the Klippel simulation tools the R&D team developed drivers that deliver minimal distortion even at maximum sound pressure.
Midrange
The A Series midrange provides precise reproduction of the critically important mid frequencies to which the human ear is most sensitive.
Committed to Precision
The A Series midrange follows the well-regarded DCH midrange concept from the S Series and delivers exceptionally clean reproduction in the critical midrange. It relieves the woofer from reproducing mid frequencies. Both the A77H and A8H are designed as 3-way systems and are equipped with the A Series midrange.

Power Like a Piston Driver
The A Series midrange cone uses the same multi-layer mineral fibers as the woofers. The cone is laminated and cut from multiple bonded layers in a special process. The voice coil is suspended in a homogeneous magnetic field with a large linear working range to avoid modulation of the sound. Distortions caused by cone breakup occur well outside the midrange’s operating range.
Voicings
"Voicings" are preset sound profiles. On the rear panel of all A Series monitors you can choose between two voicings via a switch: "UNR" and "Pure." Room correction works independently of the selected voicing. With A Control and the "Ext" option you get additional functions such as more detailed adjustments or Sonarworks calibration.
Uniform Natural Response & Pure (UNR & PURE)
"UNR" or "Uniform Natural Response" provides a minimally colored yet natural-sounding frequency response. It is inspired by some of ADAM Audio’s most popular monitors, notably the AX Series. The pleasant, lively sound enables long production and songwriting sessions without fatigue and is also very enjoyable for music listening.
"Pure" delivers a maximally neutral and linear frequency response. This voicing is the go-to choice when the highest degree of fidelity is required—typically for mixing and mastering.

Room Correction
To optimize adaptation to the acoustic environment each A Series speaker has a 4-band equalizer on the rear panel with controls labeled "Bass", "Desk", "Presence" and "Treble." Each band can be adjusted in predefined steps to compensate typical acoustic issues that arise from speaker placement in a room.

Bass: Overemphasis From Walls
When a speaker is placed close to a reflective wall, low frequencies can become reinforced and the bass region will be overrepresented. The "Bass" adjustment counters this so the speaker doesn’t sound boomy. Available settings are +2, 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Desk: Reflections From a Desk or Console
When a speaker is placed on or near a desk surface, early reflections typically cause a mid-bass boost at the listening position. The "Desk" control compensates for this so the speaker doesn’t sound boxy. Available settings are 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Presence: Compensating Room Acoustics
Under certain conditions the midrange can sound harsh due to room acoustics or equipment in the room. The "Presence" control tames this harshness and restores the speaker’s natural character. Available settings are +1, 0 and -1 dB.
Treble: Compensating High-Frequency Absorption
In rooms with too much or too little absorption of high frequencies the sound may appear dull or too sharp. The "Treble" adjustment restores a natural balance. Available settings are +1.5, 0 and -1.5 dB.
Digital Signal Processing
Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A Series monitors provide significantly improved and more extensive acoustic tuning options compared to purely analog speakers.

Consistency and Durability
A key advantage of DSP-based speakers over analog systems is their consistency and predictability. Because processing happens digitally, crossovers, filters and equalization don’t age like analog components. Signal conversion is handled by high-quality AD converters carefully selected by ADAM Audio to achieve excellent performance.
Always Up to Date
The powerful DSP in the A Series enables a wide range of features, from remote control to room correction and voicing selection. All DSP-based features can be updated via Ethernet—this includes filter types, voicings and new functions.
