Entry-Level Handpan in D Kurd at an Attractive Price!
The Sela Nomo Handpan offers an especially affordable gateway into the world of handpans and is aimed at anyone who wants to gather first experiences with this instrument. Tone and playability meet the familiar Sela standards. To keep the price attractive, the Nomo Handpan is produced with a higher degree of machine-assisted manufacturing.
The stainless steel alloy used is durable, low-maintenance and provides a balanced sustain - ideal for relaxed, intuitive playing. Thanks to its sensitive response, the Nomo Handpan is easy to play and forgives untrained strikes. The matte-gold finish gives the instrument a subtle, high-quality look.
Popular D Kurd Tuning
The D Kurd tuning (fundamental frequency 440 Hz) is among the best-selling scales. The central note in the middle of the handpan is D3; arranged in a circle around it are the notes A3, Bb3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4 and A4. Additionally, this handpan features three bottom notes, C3, F3 and G3, which expand the tonal palette. Especially the C3, which sits below the fundamental D3, adds variety.
With its bright-sounding D minor scale, the D Kurd lets you play very varied melodies — from calm and meditative or melancholic to powerful and joyful. The model is therefore equally suited as a solo instrument or for playing together with other handpans or instruments such as tongue drums, guitar or percussion.
