Meinl Sonic Energy KL1707H Sound Hole Kalimba - Returned Item (Condition: Very Good)

The Companion on Your Path to New Balance and Harmony!

The Meinl Sonic Energy Sound Hole Kalimba KL1707H is a wonderfully sounding melodic instrument with unique qualities—not only in tone but also in design. All 17 notes of the C major scale complement one another, so you will never play a wrong-sounding note. The instrument is made from high-quality acacia wood. The traditional sound hole of this kalimba produces warmer tones and a longer sustain.

The kalimba comes with a case to protect it from scratches and other damage. To remove smudges and store it safely afterwards, a microfiber cloth and a cotton pouch are also included. A tuning hammer is supplied should you wish to retune your kalimba.

From Music to Meditation

The great thing about Meinl Sonic Energy kalimbas is, besides their accessibility for everyone, their ability to produce a calming effect on your senses. You will immediately feel how a soothing, ambient tone fills the space around you when you pluck the steel tines (or keys). The premium materials used deliver a pleasant, pure sound that can shift your focus and clear your mind.

An End-of-Day Ritual or an Immersive Sound Experience

Play the kalimba to reduce anxiety or stress before sleep. Sound therapists can use the kalimbas in sound baths or meditation sessions. Yoga instructors may find them useful to signal a pose change. Of course, musicians can enjoy them as well.

Ambient Sound with Visual Ornamentation

The hollow-body design gives these instruments a light feel and creates a resonance chamber, similar to an acoustic guitar, where the sound can naturally expand. Around the top sound opening there is an engraved pattern that gives each kalimba a unique, cultural look. Your kalimba will therefore look great in your home, studio, classroom, or meditation space even when it's not in use.

Expert Craftsmanship

The kalimbas are crafted with exceptional care from top tonewoods such as maple/acacia blends, mahogany, acacia, or maple. The wood is stained to highlight the natural grain and provide an elegant, high-quality appearance. Meinl Sonic Energy uses solid, chrome-plated steel for the tines, producing a pure and resonant tone. These tines come pre-tuned.
